#Caring4NHSPeople

Every Wednesday between 4 and 5pm, the Horizons team is hosting webinars about the wellbeing of NHS staff and partner organisations during and beyond the Covid-19 response. Find out more and watch previous sessions here.

There were hundreds of people on this week's virtual meeting. Working this way means we learn, share and support each other.

We are pleased that participants are finding the sessions valuable.

Helen shared that this week she worked virtually with a group to develop a theory of change for the #Caring4NHSPeople workstream that we are involved with.

Wellbeing

During this time, it is even more important for us to focus on trusting team relationships because there are multiple barriers to trust in an online setting.

If we aren't purposeful about our virtual working, we are just swapping our slioed office working arrangements for digital cubicles. We have to use this opportunity to operate and connect in different ways.

Helen shared that as an extrovert, hours of screen-based virtual meetings can be really exhausting. Lockdown is showing we need to rethink introvert vs extrovert differences.

Language and Information

Finding the right words is even more important in a crisis. They can instill fear and panic or facilitate understanding and calm.
